Why I built this
This is my story.
I’ve tried the dating apps. All of them. And let’s be honest about what they’re built for: dopamine, not commitment.
Profile after profile, and you’re asked to decide someone’s place in your future off a handful of flattering photos. That’s not personal — that’s a product.
As humans, we all crave real connection and the feeling of being truly wanted, and I felt led to build something that actually delivers that, instead of just promising it. Modesty isn’t for someone chasing instant gratification, or the small thrill of a full inbox. It’s for people genuinely looking for a lifelong partner — someone they intend to commit to, not because of how they look, but because of who they are. That’s the very connection we were created for.
My hope is that you’ll be patient enough, and disciplined enough, to actually stick with it — that you won’t walk away just because the first week is hard. You reap what you sow. Spend your time chasing physical attraction, and you’ll likely reap one-night stands and temporary highs. Slow down and commit to someone you’re truly called to be with, and I believe you’ll find the God-given joy of a lasting, personal, intimate connection with someone who really knows you. But that only comes through intentional effort — and my goal with Modesty is to make that effort as easy as I can.
So — are you with me? Will you pursue love the right way, like I’ve had to learn to? Will you join me in a journey of genuine, long-lasting, self-sacrificing love? Let’s leave the dopamine swiping behind, and come be Modest, together.
